Less than a week to go!!!

There are six days to go before we all get the chance to elect a new council for Knowsley MBC. Six days also to take your chance and re-elect Jane Kennedy as your Police & Crime Commissioner for Merseyside.

Remember the big difference too for this year’s Local Election: Three votes. We don’t get this chance often and the wards in Halewood will be among the most fiercely contested in Knowsley. Every vote counts, make sure every one of your votes is for the excellent candidates standing for Labour. Use them wisely and VOTE THREE TIMES FOR LABOUR.

To win this campaign in Halewood, Labour Party members and supporters have been working tirelessly throughout the year and more recently have worked street-by-street delivering leaflets and speaking to voters. Ours is the fastest growing political party in the UK with many thousands of new members joining over the past 12 months. And it won’t stop here. With six days still to go, we will be delivering many more leaflets and holding dozens more conversations with residents during the final week.

During this past week we have seen again how Labour politicians have stood up for what is right for our communities on Merseyside. Locally, we were proud to see our MP Maria Eagle represent Garston & Halewood at the ‘Truth and Justice’ vigil for the victims of Hillsborough. We also had leaders from the Labour Party standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Junior Doctors defending our NHS. There is nothing that embodies the spirit of one nation coming together – nothing that working people depend on more – than the NHS. Labour’s commitment is to retain free healthcare for everyone, wherever you are and whenever you need it. On the other side you have the beleaguered Jeremy Hunt and the Tory Party showing contempt for those working in the NHS.

Your votes next week can make a difference. Your support matters. Vote three times for Labour on Thursday 5th May.
