One of the things that continues to impress me is the strength of community spirit locally. I see it in volunteers giving up their time, neighbours checking in on one another and local groups quietly supporting people without fuss.
My role is not to replace that. It is to support it. To listen, to connect people with the right help and to use my experience in community work to back what already works well.
Local politics should feel human, not distant. It should reflect real lives and real priorities. Shaped by the people who live here.
That is the approach I bring and it is the approach I will keep taking.
