A lot of residents tell me the same thing. They do not want grand promises. They want things sorted.
That is why when issues are raised during ward walkabouts, I make sure they are reported promptly and followed up properly. Whether it is graffiti, safety concerns or environmental problems, people deserve to see action and outcomes.
Local representation should be practical and responsive. If something is spotted, it should be logged, chased and resolved. Not forgotten about.
“People should be able to see the difference that raising an issue makes.”
That is the approach I take and will continue to take.
