I spent time out at Roby Field recently, getting involved in planting and helping to protect a space that means a lot to local residents.
Roby Field is one of those places that people use every day. It is somewhere to walk, play, meet others and enjoy some fresh air. Investing time and care into spaces like this is about more than what we see today. It is about thinking ahead and looking after what we will pass on to the next generation.
Planting seeds and saplings might feel like a small action, but it carries a much bigger message. It says we value our green spaces and we are willing to put in the effort to protect them.
“Looking after places like Roby Field is an investment in our future and in the wellbeing of our community.”
This work is only possible because of people who care enough to give their time and energy. It is great to be part of something practical that makes a visible difference and strengthens pride in our local area.
I fully support this work and will continue to be involved in protecting and investing in our green spaces. Places like Roby Field matter and they are worth standing up for.
