I’m really proud to be working alongside Karen Mower – Incredible Edible Knowsley , Cllr Colin Dever, and so many brilliant partners to organise this year’s Community Action Day.
📅 Tuesday 14th April
⏰ 9:30am – 3:30pm
📍 Incredible Edible Knowsley, Court Hey Park
If you’ve been involved in these days before, you’ll know just how powerful they are. When organisations, businesses, community groups and individuals come together, the impact is huge — not just on the day itself, but long after.
Because of Community Action Days like this, we’ve been able to support thousands of people across the Liverpool City Region, including:
- A food club with over 3,000 members, supporting around 150 people every week
- Emergency food parcels for people fleeing incredibly difficult situations
- Safe, welcoming community spaces used by hundreds each month
- Activities for schools and families
- Therapeutic horticulture for adults with learning disabilities and children
- Free events, workshops, food grown on site, and seedlings to help people grow at home
All of this only happens because of the generosity, time and commitment of partners who believe in supporting their community.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided, and we’re currently pulling together jobs, tasks and resources for the day. Any support — big or small — is genuinely appreciated. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for team building, adding social value, and making a real difference together.
If you’d like to get involved or want more details, please get in touch. And if you know others who might want to support, please do share this message.
Together, this is how we strengthen our community.
