Following reports of a fallen tree on Acacia Avenue at Ten Acre Pits, swift action was taken to make the area safe and arrange for the tree to be removed.
I’m grateful to the Council teams who responded quickly to deal with the issue and ensure the area was cleared safely for residents and visitors.
While it’s always disappointing to lose a tree, I’m pleased that plans are now in place for a new cherry blossom tree to be planted in the area. This will help maintain the green space and add a beautiful feature for the community to enjoy for years to come.
Looking after our local green spaces is really important, and I’ll continue working with partners to ensure places like Ten Acre Pits are cared for and enhanced for everyone.
