Fly-tipping continues to be a frustrating issue in many communities, and unfortunately the green space at Nanny Goat has recently been affected.
After the problem was reported, we raised the issue with the relevant Council teams so that the waste could be cleared as quickly as possible and the area made safe and tidy again. Our green spaces are there for everyone to enjoy, and it’s important that they are looked after and protected.
I want to thank the teams involved for responding and helping restore the area. Keeping our community clean and welcoming is something we must all work together on.
Fly-tipping is illegal and can have a real impact on the environment and on residents who care about where they live. If you witness fly-tipping or spot dumped waste in your area, please report it so action can be taken.
By working together and reporting issues when they arise, we can help protect places like Nanny Goat and keep our community looking its best.
