I was out across the community this morning speaking with residents while out campaigning, knocking on doors and listening to what matters most to people locally.
One of the most important parts of being a local representative is being visible and accessible, taking the time to speak with residents face to face and hear directly about the issues affecting their streets and neighbourhoods.
It was great to speak with more than 100 residents during the morning. The conversations covered a range of local topics, from keeping our streets clean and safe to protecting local services and improving our community spaces.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop for a chat, share their views and offer their support. The response from residents was really positive and it was encouraging to hear so many people wanting to stay involved in what’s happening locally.
These conversations are incredibly valuable and help ensure that local voices continue to shape the work we do in the community.
