This week, we had the absolute pleasure of visiting Roby Lodge Care Home to deliver a collection of Easter eggs for residents, a small gesture, but one that brought plenty of smiles and moments of joy.
Easter is a time that means something different to everyone. For some, it’s about faith. For others, it’s about family, togetherness, and simple acts of kindness. At its heart, it’s about connection and that’s exactly what we wanted to celebrate with this visit.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to donate a range of Easter treats to residents at Roby Lodge. Walking through the doors with bags full of chocolate was one thing, but seeing the reactions, hearing the conversations, and spending time with residents was what really mattered.
There’s something special about these moments. Taking the time to connect, to listen, and to share a bit of happiness can make a real difference, especially for older members of our community who may not always have regular visitors or opportunities to celebrate occasions like this.
Roby Lodge plays a vital role in supporting its residents day in, day out, and it was a privilege to spend some time there and give something back. The staff do an incredible job, and it’s clear how much care and dedication goes into creating a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who lives there.
This visit is also a reminder of what community is all about. It’s about looking out for one another, marking important moments together, and making sure no one feels forgotten, especially during times of celebration.
