We have recently taken action to address concerns raised about anti social behaviour in and around Ten Acre Pits and Cyril Cook Park.
After witnessing issues ourselves and being contacted by a number of concerned residents, it was clear that reassurance and visible action were needed. These are valued local spaces, and everyone should feel safe and comfortable when using them.
As an immediate step, we have hand delivered letters to nearby properties to keep residents informed and to offer reassurance that the concerns raised are being taken seriously. It’s important that people know they are being listened to and that action is being taken.
We are now working closely with partners to address these issues properly. This includes identifying the causes of the behaviour, increasing visibility in the area, and putting measures in place to prevent further problems. Our focus is not only on responding quickly, but on finding longer term solutions that protect these spaces for the future.
Ten Acre Pits and Cyril Cook Park are important community assets, used by families, dog walkers, and residents every day. They should be places people can enjoy with confidence and pride.
We will continue to keep residents updated as this work progresses and encourage anyone with concerns to get in touch.
Listening. Supporting. Delivering.
