We spent a productive morning at Ten Acre Pits, working alongside residents to care for a space that means a lot to the local community.
The morning focused on two simple but important things, taking action and listening. We got stuck into litter picking across the area, helping to improve the environment and make the space more enjoyable for everyone who uses it. It’s always encouraging to see people take pride in their local surroundings and get involved in keeping them clean and welcoming.
Just as important were the conversations we had along the way. Spending time with residents gave us the chance to talk through ideas, hear concerns, and better understand what people want to see for the future of Ten Acre Pits. From maintaining the space to thinking about how it can be improved and used more by the community, these discussions are what help shape the work we take forward.
Ten Acre Pits is a valued local space, and mornings like this show the strength of community spirit that exists. When people come together, even small actions can make a big difference.
We’ll continue to build on this, taking forward the issues raised, working with partners where needed, and supporting residents who want to play a part in looking after and improving the area.
Thank you to everyone who stopped to speak with us or got involved.
Listening. Supporting. Delivering.
