Today has been a proud and humbling moment for me personally, as Kevin and I were elected to represent Roby Ward.
Firstly, I want to say a genuine thank you to the residents of Roby for placing your trust and confidence in us. Whether you voted for us, supported us throughout the campaign, or simply took the time to speak with us on the doorstep, thank you.
Over the past few months, we have spent countless hours out in the community, listening to residents, hearing your concerns, your frustrations, but also your hopes for the future of Roby. Those conversations mattered and they will continue to matter moving forward.
This campaign was never just about politics. For me, it has always been about community, visibility, action and making sure residents feel heard and supported.
I’m incredibly proud to have been elected alongside Kevin and to now join Megan as part of your Labour team for Roby. Together, we will work hard, stay visible, and continue to stand up for our community all year round, not just at election time.
I also want to thank every volunteer, supporter, friend and family member who helped us throughout the campaign. From delivering leaflets, knocking on doors, sharing posts online, making brews, offering encouragement and keeping us going during some very long days — we genuinely could not have done it without you.
Today, the campaigning stops and the hard work continues.
Thank you again, Roby.
