Recent drainage works have now been completed along the pathway connecting Hawthorne Road and Church Road, following concerns raised by local residents.
After previous improvement works to the pathway, it became clear that blocked drainage was causing water to collect during wet weather. I’m pleased that these issues have now been addressed, helping to improve access and making the route safer for everyone who uses it.
Thank you to residents who highlighted the problem and to the council teams who acted to resolve it.
Small improvements like these make a real difference to everyday life, and we’ll continue working to ensure our local footpaths remain safe, accessible and well maintained.
