I’m pleased to see new litter bins have now been installed at the Acacia Avenue shopping parade following concerns raised by local residents.
Keeping our local shopping areas clean is something residents regularly tell us is important, and having suitable waste facilities helps everyone play their part.
Thank you to everyone who reported the issue and to council officers for arranging the installation.
We’ll continue working to improve our neighbourhood and respond to the issues that matter most to residents.
Residents told us they wanted to see improvements at the Acacia Avenue shops, and I’m pleased we’ve been able to deliver these new litter bins. It may seem like a small change, but it’s these practical improvements that help keep our neighbourhood cleaner, encourage people to take pride in the area, and make a real difference to those who use the shops every day. I’ll continue listening to residents and working to secure further improvements across our community.
