Today, I was delighted to visit Blacklow Brow School to collect another generous donation of school uniforms for our School Uniform Support Project.
As the cost of living continues to put pressure on many households, projects like this can make a real difference. Every donated uniform helps to reduce costs for local families while ensuring children can begin the new school year feeling confident and ready to learn.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all of the families who have donated uniforms. Your kindness and community spirit will directly benefit local children and demonstrate what can be achieved when we work together to support one another.
During my visit, it was also a pleasure to meet Blacklow Brow’s Head Boy and Head Girl. They are excellent ambassadors for their school, showing maturity, leadership and pride in their community. As they come to the end of their primary school journey and prepare to move on to secondary education, I wish them every success for the future.
Supporting our young people and helping families through practical initiatives will always remain a priority. Whether it is through projects like our School Uniform Support Scheme, community events or tackling local issues, I remain committed to listening to residents and working hard to make a positive difference across Roby.
If you have good-quality school uniforms that your children have outgrown, please consider donating them to our School Uniform Support Project. Together, we can help ensure that every child has the best possible start to the new school year.
Thank you once again to everyone at Blacklow Brow School and to the families who continue to support this fantastic community initiative.
