It was great to spend some time at Rainbow in the Park at Court Hey Park, joining colleagues, residents and visitors for a fantastic celebration of Pride and our diverse community.
Events like this are about much more than a day out. They bring people together, create opportunities to celebrate what makes our communities different and reinforce the importance of ensuring everyone feels welcome, respected and able to be themselves.
It was brilliant to see Court Hey Park filled with people enjoying the celebrations, activities and entertainment, and to have the opportunity to speak with residents while supporting such a positive community event.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising and delivering Rainbow in the Park, as well as all those who came along and helped create such a welcoming atmosphere.
I was proud to attend alongside colleagues and to see our community coming together in such a positive way.
