It was great to stop by the subway entrance on Rimmer Avenue during our recent ward walkabout and see improvement works taking place to repaint the ceilings and entrance walls.
These areas see a lot of daily use from residents, families and young people, so it is positive to see investment being made to brighten the space and improve the overall appearance of the subway. Small improvements like this can make a real difference in helping local areas feel cleaner, safer and more welcoming for everyone.
During the visit, we also identified a broken step within the subway area. This has now been reported so that the necessary repairs can be arranged as soon as possible.
As local councillors, we know how important it is to continue listening to residents and reporting issues that matter to the community. While elections may come and go, the work to support and improve Roby never stops.
